...otherwise known as a "tag". That's right, it looks like I've been tag'd by :iconduplexfields: for some kind of game. First and foremost, here are the rules:

A. Post these rules (very, VERY important!)
B. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
C. Choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
D. Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged him/her/it.
E. No tag backs, preferably for two generations of the game! <- Ha, you lost!
F. No carp in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this"; you have to actually tag 10 people.

Well, now that that's out of the way, here are the questions I received:

1. Which past empire of Earth's history is most fascinating to you, and why?
Atlantis. We'll find it someday, just you wait.

2. Which episode of MLP: FiM did you see first?
I always try to start at the beginning of any given thing, so that would be "Friendship is Magic, Part 1: The Mare in the Moon".

3. Who are you keeping in the dark about your being a fan, and why?
Well, I was trying to keep my parents in the dark, just because I thought it would be a bit embarrassing if they knew, but that didn't really work out… Lucky for me, though, they seem pretty cool with it.

4. What is the difference between personality and character?
Personality - noun
1. A set of qualities that make a person (or thing) distinct from another.
2. An assumed role or manner of behavior.
3. A celebrity.
4. Charisma, or qualities that make a person stand out from the crowd.

Character - noun
1. A being involved in the action of a story.
2. A written or printed symbol or letter.
3. A distinguishing feature; characteristic; A complex of mental and ethical traits marking a person or a group.
4. A moral strength.
5. A person with many notable or eccentric features.
6. (mathematics) A complex number representing an element of a finite Abelian group.
7. (computing) One of the basic elements making up a text file or string: a code representing a printing character or a control character.
8. (informal) A person or individual, especially one who is unknown or raises suspicions.

5. Kansas, U2, Yes, or Rush?
Huh, those are funny ways to spell Poets of the Fall.

6. Whose failure most shaped you?
Uh…I can't think of anything on a personal level, but on a technical level, the Confederacy's failure to take down the Union greatly shaped the nation I've grown up in, so I guess that counts?

7. Under the city streets, there is a secret world.  Describe it.
Sorry, Neil Gaiman already beat me to that.

8. Cats, dogs, ponies, yeast.  Humans have domesticated these, and many other animals organisms.  Which was the worst idea?
Brussels sprouts. We should've left those &$@%ers alone.

9. What is your ponycode?
Well, I don't really have a "ponysona", per se, so here's the code for one of my FiM fan characters: 2O3700010011BEF2EDB793000
010048FEUN183700B00100381
F79D00EA363617107F3FCC004CB2 (it's Waterfire, from "Happy Birthday, Fizzypop!", minus the glasses and cutie mark).

10. Which single novel of a licensed intellectual property (Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate, Doom, Halo, etc.) is your favorite?
I'd have to go with Ravnica from the "Magic: the Gathering" book series. I really like the MtG mythos, and Ravnica is by far my favorite plane (though Innistrad is definitely giving it a run for its money). Now, if we're talking original novel series, then I've got quite a few favorites…

Aaand that's that. Now for my set of questions! Please answer truthfully:

1) Twilight Sparkle is walking home with a vicious killer plant, a huge sack of gems, and Spike. She comes across a river, with the only way across being a small boat that has just enough space for herself and one of the items. If left alone, the plant would eat Spike, and Spike would eat the gems. How can Twilight carry herself and her eclectic inventory to the far bank of the river while keeping everything unharmed?

2) Rats do not throw up. Is this true or false?

3) What is the magnitude of the force needed to keep a 7.0 N rubber block moving across level, dry asphalt in a straight line at a constant speed of 16.5 m/s, given that the coefficient of rubber on dry asphalt is µ = .68?

4) Applejack has 2 haystacks in one field, 4 haystacks in a second field, and 6 in a third field. She brought them all together. How many haystacks does she have?

5) According to the political views of Andrew Ryan, what is "The Great Chain"?

6) Who was the 23rd president of the United States, and what were his accomplishments?

7) If 7x2 + 13x = 54, assuming x is positive, what does it equal?

8) Why is Tommy Wiseau's The Room widely considered the worst movie ever?

9) If a tree falls in the forest, and nopony is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

10) Are you tired of answering questions yet?

Since I'm such a nice guy, though, I won't go out and tag anyone. Whoever wants to answer these is free to do so if they choose! You're welcome, by the way.

Poets is a good band, and Waterfire is pretty. Thanks for playing along.
